Editorial policy
How we research, fact-check and review the articles on the StitchedUp blog.
Who we write for
Our guides are for Australian tradespeople and small trade businesses. We focus on the practical side of running a trade business: quoting, invoicing and getting paid, winning work, social media and staying on the right side of the rules.
How articles are researched
We use AI tools to help research topics, summarise what is already published and draft articles. Research favours primary sources: government and regulator websites (for example the ATO, Fair Work and state licensing bodies), official pricing and help pages, and original studies.
Rules often differ by state or territory. When they do, we say which jurisdiction a statement applies to and link to the relevant regulator.
Human review
No article is published automatically. Every draft is read, edited and approved by a person at StitchedUp before it goes live. Claims we could not confirm are flagged during review and either verified, rewritten in general terms or removed.
What we never do
We do not invent stories, quotes, statistics, customers or credentials. Examples that are hypothetical are labelled as examples. This is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice; check your situation with a qualified adviser.
Our products
StitchedUp and TradiesPost are our own products and we mention them where they genuinely help with the problem an article covers. When another tool is a better fit for a situation, we say so.
Corrections and updates
We review and update articles when rules, prices or our products change. If you spot an error, email hello@stitchedup.app and we will check it and correct the article.
